About Me

Get to know me
I am an incoming graduate from the University of Manchester, having completed a BA (Hons) in English Literature. I aspire to a career in the journalism or publishing sectors, with a strong interest in different forms of art, politics, and sport. Writing has been a favourite pastime of mine from a young age, starting with fiction and slowly transferring into more journalistic, non-fiction pieces as I began my studies in Manchester. As a passionate advocate for the power of storytelling, my desire pursue a career in publishing and journalism stems from a deep appreciation for how both fiction and non-fiction can inspire, inform, and connect individuals across the globe. I believe that words have the unique ability to touch souls and spark change creating a profound impact on readers' lives. With a commitment to crafting compelling narratives and disseminating valuable information, I am eager to contribute to an industry that thrives on creativity and the pursuit of knowledge. I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm and dedication a dynamic team that shares my vision as well as continuing to deliver this in my own freelance work.

Currently, I write for the online magazine, The Cusp, under the founder and Editor-in-Chief, Hannah Nepilova. Because the magazine explores the intersection of different art forms, the pieces I write range from profiles on different theatrical groups, to reviews of performances based in the Manchester area.
I also sporadically write for the University of Manchester student newspaper, The Mancunion. The items I write here are detail-orientated, often requiring me to conduct interviews with various students, staff-members, and members of external organisations.
